On October 24, 2013, afternoon, the Vice Mayor of Qingdao Mr. Niu, Junxian with the related responsible leaders from Municipal Investment Bureau, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Bureau of Land, the Municipal Bureau of Statistics and other relevant departments conducted on-site visit of our phase II project.
Mr. Niu and his delegation took the plant tour and visited Phase I and Phase II of our plant with Mr. Michels' guidance. Mr. Michels also made a brief introduction about STIHL group and STIHL Qingdao with focus on expansion of the new plant. He explained that the total investment for Phase II was 1.7 Mio. Euro, the plant area expanded from 22500 square meters to 39000 square meters. Now there are 711 employees in total, after expansion 200 jobs will be created. The new plant mainly includes three new sections: production workshop, supply center / waste processing center and canteen extension. All of them are designed and built according to ecological standards.
Mr. Niu said that STIHL Qingdao, as the important foreign enterprise in Qingdao, made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Qingdao. He also pointed out that the municipal departments and units should continue to improve their services for enterprises, research and develop more polices for supporting enterprises, strive to create a better business environment for development of enterprises, to achieve a new leap forward and new glories.
