In order to strengthen the cooperation between STIHL and suppliers, the Continuous Improvement function and Supplier Development Department have together organized the 1st suppler centralized training on 28th and 29th July 2016. Altogether 71 participants from 37 suppliers have attended this training. With developing supplier as the target of this training, the trainers from STIHL QD have provided various real cases during the training and also arranged the plant tour to enhance the suppliers' understanding for the whole training.
The training content on these two days includes six aspects, they are: 5S and Visual management, Process description, Line balance and layout, Production Capacity Management and Production Planning. Highly positive feedback from suppliers is given to this two-day training. This training has laid the good foundation of better cooperation between STIHL QD and the suppliers.
