On July 25th 2014, finally it was accomplished.
On a big ceremony many high-ranking guests from government, education institutions and well-known companies celebrated the first graduated apprentices from the dual education project, which was started 2011 in Jinan. Also from STIHL Qingdao, six young people who decided three years before to do this new kind of education here in China got finally their college certificate as well as their skilled worker certificate from AHK Shanghai for their successful finishing of the three years apprenticeship program on this ceremony.
In total, 50 new graduated apprentices were celebrated and the guests send their congratulations to all of them and praised them about their decision that they have joined this dual education program and their successful completion of it.
The last three years was an important and impressive time for the apprentices, STIHL Qingdao and the training function. With ambition and effort, good collaboration with other functions here at STIHL Qingdao as well with the training center from STIHL headquarter in Waiblingen, it was possible to realize different projects like the first sending of German apprentices to STIHL Qingdao or the implementation of training for apprentices in new functions, so that the responsible training function could build up a qualified training system. Due to this development and the motivation and interest of the apprentices, also STIHL was in the TOP 10 with their first graduated apprentices on this graduation ceremony.
Meanwhile, all of these six young fresh graduated apprentices have started their new job as a skilled worker in different functions. As majored in industrial mechanic, they are interested and motivated to transfer and use their acquired skills and knowledge from these training into their new job as a maintenance technician, tour inspector, measurement inspector or as a mechanic in tool shop.
